I understand the corporate policy, but should the violation have resulted in termination or some lesser disciplinary action? What is your opinion?
I get the liability risks, but I think many corporations over react to some of these issues. It's not like he shot the guy or beat him senseless. As always, just MHO. :)
They should have given him a raise instead of a firing. The world has gone mad.
This is one of the countless times, when strictly adhering to a policy or law trumps reason or justness.
So Best Buy fires a hero, eh?

I hope he gets a dozen offers for better jobs.
And as for Best Buy, it will be a long, long time before I ever set foot in there again.
