I like the idea of personal choice and responsibility as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. (I don't care to choke on someone's smoke or get killed by a drunk driver .... so some limits are unavoidable.)
I agree. It's unfortunate that some people can't control themselves. That becomes a great excuse for the government to try and control everyone. :)
'Bout time shomebody sharted making shome shenshe in Norway... (hic...!)
That particular government agency, I pretty much agree.
As long as they pay for their own health care, I don't care what their choices are. Eat, drink and be merry but don't hurt anyone .
Oh my...a politician asserting that people are sovereign over their own bodies???
They'll definitely try to run her out., whether they succeed or not remains to be seen. Populism is certainly growing in Europe, though it's not gotten a good foothold in Scandinavia as yet. There will be a great deal of opposition to her predicated on the high per capita health spending, which while funded in part through private pay deductibles, is still largely a government benefit. Therein lies the problem with government health care...when others are responsible for paying your bills, they feel they have the right to dictate your habits.
I do love her attitude, though.
As usual, you are right on the money!! :)
Yaay.....I am moving to Norway.
