Also about means and private interests+32The issue of who politics concern has come to overshadow the issue of what politics concern. This sensationalist treatment of politics in our modern culture is symptomatic of a broken electoral system. It's quite sad that there's no practical and peaceful means to take our governance into our own hands, elevate political platforms themselves above the private interests of the politicians who leverage them, and dispel the insidious perpetual illusion that the public interest is fractured into mutually exclusive "parties." If there were any such means, it would be a true path to world peace. amirite?

Also about Politics+29People who think political correctness infringes on their freedom of speech don't understand property rights. You have the right to say what you please, but not the right to say it where you please, because you don't even have the right to be where you please. If you want to rant about representational minorities all day, please feel free to go do it at a public park. Just because you're free to be rude doesn't mean privately owned businesses are under any obligation to provide a platform for that freedom. In this sense, it seems it's the left's turn to complain about trespassers.
Also about free market+8A libertarian that truly knows politics and history would know that a free market ends up as monopoly unless you force them to be free. Amirite?

Also about Politics+13The far right and the moderate left believe basically the same thing: that there's a corporate shadow government which now controls the media, the government, and the "free" market, and which, to achieve that control, has secretly perpetrated every socioeconomic injustice in the history of our country, and to some extent even farther back. The core difference is that the far right wants to call that corporate shadow government "the jews," wants to blame EVERY jewish person for its existence, and wants to blame the victims of those past injustices for being unconsenting coconspirators. amirite? Also by jaime+35Unpopular opinion: Lawyer isn't a dishonest profession. A lawyer's responsibility is not to state their opinion on guilt or innocence, but to state their opinion on what one must believe to justify believing guilt or innocence. This, in turn, is grounded in the idea that every crime deserves justice and every defendant deserves a fair defense. So, for example, the defense could believe their client is guilty, yet defend their client in court in good conscience, because they aren't saying they think their client is innocent, just that they see a way someone could reasonably think that, amirite?
Also by jaime-63Burden of proof, in resting with the claimant, must move with the claimant as well. If I say something and you tell me you disagree, I still have the burden of proof, beause simply disagreeing makes no claim. But if I say something and you tell me I'm wrong, the burden of proof is then upon both of us, proportioned between us according to the status quo. amirite?
