Most calls for communism or other kinds of socialism in the US are owed to discontentment with the observation that the free market has been commandeered for the private interests of the select few. However, if we were to adopt communism, the same thing would happen to the means of distribution very shortly. Therefore, perhaps the solution to economic inequality and corruption is to periodically switch economic systems, the way people switch passwords. That way, corporate and government entities alike will have no time to work out ways to abuse the system before it abruptly swaps out on them. amirite?
