What are good laptops that don't have U or Y Intel Processor Suffixes and isn't a Chromebook? I heard that computers that have U or Y suffixes are the worst.

The laptop I am on at the moment is a very old laptop has an M suffix and is a Windows 7. Need a newer one that can be used for someone I know who works from home or wherever they are and I don't know much about this but all that I can say is that they can't use Chromebooks as the site they work from it doesn't work on Chromebooks at all. Thanks.

Intel Core i7 (8th gen)
Buy the latest 8th gen processor. I have 2 laptops. The 1-year-old laptop has i7 7th gen and new laptop which I bought recently has i7 8th gen processor. You can compare processors here - Comparison of the processors of my laptops: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/C...70418vsm211019

Graphics Card: (Optional)
Does the laptop need to support playing games with higher graphics? Then it needs a graphics card. But if the person doesn't play high graphics intense games then you can ignore the graphics card option. Low graphics and ordinary games don't require a graphics card.
If the person is a high-end graphic designer or doing any works similar to it such as video editor or producer then the person may need a laptop/PC with a graphics card.

SSD: (Good to have)
Buy a laptop with at least 256GB SSD (or higher if you can afford it). Why SSD? SSD helps to turn ON your laptop in seconds. My laptop turns ON in just 6 seconds. Also, your laptop will be faster with SSD. My laptop has both SSD and HDD. The OS is installed on the SSD. Also, SSD consumes less power than HDD. RAM: (At least 4 GB)
8 GB Ram is enough for most tasks. Go for 16 GB if you can afford it.

Thunderbolt Port: (Optional)

HD Resolution display: (at least)
Go for 4K display if you can afford it.

The fingerprint sensor on the Power button: (Optional)
Many newer laptops have the fingerprint sensor on the power button itself. So, you don't need to type a password to log in (in case you are using a password for the laptop) and you can just log in to the laptop with your finger instantly.

Concern: My laptop weights 2.65 kg

There are many things has to be considered before buying a laptop/PC.
