Reagan on Homelessness: Many Choose to Live in the Streets
I can't argue with The Gipper.
Just out of curiosity, how do family and friends contribute to homelessness?
If you don't have any...that could be bad...plus it is easier then dealing with psychotic family and roommates.. it's a weird feeling paying rent to someone who genuinely scares you or calling that place home. Some people tolerate the abuse and aren't homeless , some people smoke crack under the bridge
What about the ones who have run through all the family and friends who have constantly helped them? Now what?
Maybe the family and friends these people deal with are psychotic... so instead of pointless violence they turn to the streets
Laziness because some want to live off the work of others.
Addiction whether it is drugs, alcohol, or gambling.
Poor job market and layoffs. Sometimes it's no fault of ones own
Thank you and I agree with you.
Drugs, depression, poor judgement. There are many more, but that's 3.
Ok, name as many as you want. You did nail the first three, in my opinion.
Unemployment, money, and some not in all cases, laziness
Is it laziness or complacency? Do you think people can become accustomed to living on the sidewalk and not having to pay a landlord?
I think some become accustomed to living a certain way....drugs or alcohol....and it's just easier to continue on the way they have been than get a job.
