Not asking for a friend 😔
I just keep trying to stretch it and work it out.
I do have one of those back and neck massagers, you can get right to the spot for a deep massage, it helps.
I'm not using pain pills either, I rarely even use aspirin or anything like that.
Thank ya. Ice seemed to help some. I was able to get up without it taking 45 minutes this morning.
That's good, glad you feel better.
See a doctor, it might be a disc problem. If not, then try a heat pad, that always helped me when I had a pulled muscle. Good luck
Thank ya. I was doing good for a hot minute then the pain started up. I am not one for sitting still but I need to find a way
First off, you need to see a doctor to evaluate what the problem is.
I have personally found exercises, such as the ones recommended in the link below, to be helpful, but I've never had back pain as severe as what you describe, so it really is important that you see a professional before trying exercises such as these.
Hope you feel better soon! (gentle hug)
I ain't one to go to the doctor. I done this years ago . I need to take it easy and really suck at that.
Ok, well, if taking it easy worked for you before, then it almost certainly will work this time. Just lay off the gymnastics on the Olympic balance beam for a while until you're feeling all better.
Glad to hear it has shown some improvement since yesterday.
Yeah I don't think I will be winning a gold medal today. I never realized how much I drop on the floor filling can't pick it up
I been napping most of the day. Thank ya
Yeah I skipped the gym this morning
It really depends what the problem is with your back. What helps one back issue may actually make another worse.
I pulled a muscle but I won't do pain pills. I can't lay on my back or hardly walk.
*Apply first cold, then alternate hot and cold.
*Stretching, there's a yoga thingy that helps me:
*A gravity bed (inversion table) may also help.
Beyond that, yeah I do have something else, but it's use is controversial. It's actually used for pain and inflammation of muscles and joints on horses and dogs. You can get it in some health stores, online from Walmart or Amazon...or get it right from your local farm store for a lot less. It's not a drug and applied topically.
Thank ya. I applied cold ice last night which helped a bit.
My chiropractor was a godsend to me. He even showed me some very effective stretching exercises that really helps. This one helps me the most and it's one you can do anywhere.
*Seated in a chair, cross one leg on top of the other so that your ankle is sitting over the opposite knee.
*Place one hand on the knee of the crossed leg.
*Gently lean your trunk forward while pressing gently on the crossed knee until you feel a mild to moderate stretch in the hip and buttock area.
*Hold the stretch for 15-20 seconds, then repeat 3-5 times on each side.
If you have a pulled muscle, alternate between ice and heat if you can. I use a large icepack for 20 minutes and then use a heating pad for another 20 minutes. I also take some ibuprofen to help with the inflammation.
Thank ya. Ice seemed to really help yesterday
Thank ya. I will have to look into those
I went through severe lower back pain when I got up or down. Once I was up it wasn't as bad but the in-between nearly killed me. Ice packs for twenty minutes several times a day took care of it. I now have a rice pack in the freezer all the time just in case it ever comes back.
