We've been sending garbage over seas? Really. We really are a good functioning, responsible society here in Oz aren't we. Our 1 stupid step forward and 2 steps back policies we've been making for years now are starting to catch up with us. No wonder china is leaving us for dead. We will even let India in here to take coal and burn as long as were not seen to be burning it here. That's great policy as well. Are we not hypocrites. Its the stupid policies and laws our greedy politicians choose to take that's putting our democracy at risk. Amirite?
I wonder if the pacific countries are lobbying china to cut emissions as well as australia at the pacific forum. We all should be cutting emissions i think. Amirite?
What it means is that politicians the world over put money in their pockets while affecting at the same time to appear virtuous.
It also means that in this instance, they don't take carbon emissions very seriously, not in Oz, and especially not in India or China. Can't blame them too much for that.
