+52 People today worry about bad AI's, the climate and microplastics, but from history we know that whatever people worried about most wasn't really a problem 100 years later. amirite?

If something is worrisome enough people work on fixing the problem so it does not stick around for 100 years.

Human ingeniousness at it's best. The only time all countries worked together is when the danger was acute and imminent. Even tyrans know they can only rule if they still have a working country to rule, so I think we can trust ourselves to save ourselves when our survival is in peril.

Hopefully because we did something to deal with them. Some examples from recent years. -Lead in petrol -Ozone layer damage due to cfcs Let's hope we act on plastics and climate change causes.

... so don't waste time on worrying about the things others already worry too much about. Instead, if you need something to worry about, look out for the problems flying under the radar of public attention who have the potential to be biiiiiig problems

There are definitely things people were worrying about 100 years ago, that people are still worrying about *now*.

For the most part you are right, some things like war, and natural resources are the outliers here.
