It definitely takes an unshockable, patient person. Certainly not a job I could handle well.
I know it sounds kinda sexist and ageist, but don't you have to be a grumpy-looking old man to be a Walmart greeter?
There once was a woman named Linn,
Who said, with a satisfied grin,
"I'm the first on the job,
A-greetin' the mob
At Walmart, with three shots of gin."
(at least, that's what I'd need to face them)
Thank you. (hic)
I would sweep crap at the zoo, before having to be a greeter at Walmart.
Lol...So would I.
Maybe not. Some of them don't look real happy, I've noticed.
" Some of them don't look real happy"
I've noticed that, too...I'm thinking it's because of all the obnoxious people they have to greet.
I always at least smile when greeted.
I have little doubt, that that is not a big factor. Plus, I'm pretty sure that is one of the lower paid jobs, in a Walmart.
I mainly go there, when my father is staying with me. Both of us always smile and acknowledge the "greeter" also, whether they smile..or not.
Greeter sounds like a subspecies of a cricket maybe. 'Ah, nothing like a cool summer night and the sound of greeters all around."
LMAO!...and the sound of frogs that want to eat them.
