For the sake of argument - and even more dramatically - if all of Bezos' wealth earned 1% of 1% that would come to $11 million. It's safe to assume most individuals in the world would not earn approx. $225, 000/yr for 49 years (working age span 16 to 65).
He would make more in a day than most would ever make in a lifetime.

1% of what? His net worth is not the money he owns so it's not like he can put that in a bank and make money out of that.
So how much does he make at one percent interest? And how much do "most people" make in a life time.
