Also about politics and politicians-54Young people despise politics until they realize the politicians who are screwing them the most have a vested interest in making sure they aren’t interested and won’t notice how badly they’re getting screwed, amirite?
Also about politics and today-98I told this young kid , this today..i said " if you have to go home to your commune with your lover and kids and talk politics all night its better for you to go biden, it aint worth the headache....but if you go home to YOUR house with YOUR car paid by YOUR money , that means you can think for yourself ...and vote uncle trump," amirite? Also about politics and politicians+32The issue of who politics concern has come to overshadow the issue of what politics concern. This sensationalist treatment of politics in our modern culture is symptomatic of a broken electoral system. It's quite sad that there's no practical and peaceful means to take our governance into our own hands, elevate political platforms themselves above the private interests of the politicians who leverage them, and dispel the insidious perpetual illusion that the public interest is fractured into mutually exclusive "parties." If there were any such means, it would be a true path to world peace. amirite?
Also about today and politicians-79Being in society today feels like you went to the handicapped grocery line and have to accept the fact that you have to lower your standards for the kind of service you will get... Its nice they have a job ...but this hadicaped person ( just like our politicians) are doing the best they can and you should lower your expectations to the level of the handicapped, amirite?

Also by ezhil+67Voting is an important activity in a democracy. Elections decide the fate of a country for a specific period apart from its long term impact. In most countries the voting age is around 18 years. The youth are a volatile group who are swayed by personal considerations rather than public good. In my opinion these young people are not mature enough to choose the right candidate. Being children themselves how can they choose a suitable adult who is going to govern. Youth are fascinated by money, cinema and other entertainment. They may not understand what public good is. amirite? More

Also about politics and politicians-54People moving out of the People’s Republic of California should be required to sign an agreement when they move to other states that they won’t vote for politicians that would turn their new state into another California. Otherwise they should be forced to live with the politics they vote for, amirite?
Also by ezhil-16In a country like India where the standard of life of millions is far from satisfactory, incurring huge expenditure on official functions of ministers and officials, even in regular programmes, by way of decorations, garlands and bouquets is a colossal waste of hard earned money. These functions can be simple events and need not be conducted like gala celebrations. On an annual basis such expenditures may run into millions. Is this a civilised practice? amirite?
Also by ezhil+64America is no exception to the misuse of party system in a democracy. Trump who was impeached in the house of representatives has been acquitted in the senate. Does that mean that the house of representatives made a mistake? Is it not an irony that truth varies according to the party. This is the tragedy of party system created by the so called democratic concept. As long as party system exists there is no escape from such serious crimes seemingly innocuous. In fact the multi-party system has come as a death blow to truth and honesty. What nonsense is this party system and elections that cannot establish truth? Let us not live in a fool's paradise for ever, amirite?
