Also about language and sounds+64As a former language teacher, I submit that in order to insure a better foreign and second language learning. it is more fruitfull and rewarding to have an intrinsic motivation (love of foreign language, its sounds, its musicality, its rythm or its syntax, i,e, learning the language for its affective and intellectual value) than to have an instrumental motivation (learn a language to get a degree , a promotion or for multiple purposes external to the language itself, as a means for an extenal goal). Do you think that affectivity does play a major role in foreign or second language learning? amirite?
Also about Science+52Although anyone using a commercial strength insecticide containing a nerve agent must wear a mask, a patient had long, frequent seizures due to an overactive nervous system. He made frequent temporary recoveries after just a few minutes of inhaling fumes from such an insecticide airborne from the apparently dry sprayer of the bottle, 10 ft away, (brought by a patient sick from the fumes). Even though the insecticide fumes were too low to noticeably effect someone else in the same room, the low concentration was still enough to calm the patient's nervous system. Incredible (true) story, amirite?
Also about understand, language, and sounds+1,259You wonder what english (or whatever other language you speak) sounds like to those who dont understand it, amirite?
Also about understand, language, and sounds+312Some prepositions in English would be really hard to learn as a second language. For example you would say "He is IN a movie." and "He is ON a tv show." I guess people would understand you if you said "He is ON a movie", but it just sounds a little off, amirite?
