For me it concern, uncertainty and unease.

Me too! I was referring to 45's way of deflecting with a really ugly twist. Most of us deflect at times but grifters,con-artists etc. use psychological deflection as a technique to create chaos. It doesn't take much intelligence just a lifetime of conning.

Agreed.

During a crisis a president should be visible, calm, reassuring, and give direct, honest answers. He/she should be consistent as should every member of his/her administration. No false hope. No speculation. No personal opinions. Stick to the facts. He/she must constantly remind the nation that we are all in this together and we will get through it. Be a cheerleader for the people. After that he/she should shut the hell up and bring out the experts.

Trump has done none of that. He is like a crash course in what not to do during a national emergency. He consistently lied, contradicted the experts, has repeatedly given his opinion on things he knows nothing about, blamed others for his actions, fought with Democratic governors, and repeatedly changed his mind and therefore his actions on every facet of the pandemic. Of course this behavior makes sense when you consider who and what he is. His ego, over-exaggerated self-confidence and bravado are born of ignorance and privilege rather experience. Every thought, word and action is dictated by vanity. He decides what's the right course of action for the country based on what will or will benefit him. He truly believes he understands the complexity of a problem and is somehow the best qualified to can fix it, So what else should we have expected?

And then, to make matters worse, Trump actually voiced support for protests against the lock down with his free the states tweets. In one tweet he even added a comment to the protestors regarding their Second Amendment rights. That's right. The president of the United States seems to have suggested citizens bear arms while protesting their state government!

For shame Donald.

Thank you for putting it all down in writing so beautifully! I could never sum it up any better than your words!

Yes i agree. We go through our live being called up on something we said, even if it isn't a very big deal there can be a lot of controversy. Which can spark up chaos because of the difference in our opinions and the confusion of the opinion and it's differences and what cause strife between the two said people. So 100% agreeable.
