It's a lot lighter in the day.
Earth doesn't get any lighter or heavier, even if you did add more material, since weight is about how hard gravity pulls an object. Earth does, however, lose mass - mass is gained from meteor impacts, and lost from escaping hydrogen and helium, for a net loss of about 60,000 tons per year.
Huh. The more you know
Usually, when I say that, people get mad at me about the whole weight/mass distinction.
How much do the 1000s of satellite's weigh...also astronauts pee and poop
This old Earth gains mass every day by the hundreds of tons.
Guess again
Does it get heavier?
I mean, it's not getting any darker.
Cities and buildings...no, but think of all the stuff we sent into orbit and around our solar system and further. Not much lighter but just a bit lighter.
