Also about democracy and popularity+167Democracy is nothing more than a popularity contest. amirite?
Also about Politics-45Since Greenland refused to sell their land to the U.S. at President Trump's request, and it's mainly the east coast of Greenland that Trump mainly wants, Donald Trump should try again, but this time- offer to purchase the land all along the east coast. A land portion narrow like Chile. Greenland would more likely- if not absolutely 100% agree to sell that land portion to the U.S. since the remaining mainland of Greenland would still be present and independent AND Greenland could STILL use the money where and how they want to in Greenland, amirite?
Also about ignorance+198While the Information Age has chipped away at human ignorance in general, it has also increased ignorance of one's own ignorance. People will skim an article online, assume its validity, immediately claim expertise, then use social networking sites as soapboxes to spew their uninformed ideas. And the worst part is, they will have gleaned enough to sound somewhat intelligible, further spreading their faux-knowledge, amirite?
Also about democracy+163Thomas Jefferson once said, “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” So technically, thanks to Obama, we are not a democracy anymore, according to our 3rd president. amirite?
Also about Politics+116Just like Donald Trump, rotten cops reflects who we are. Get used to it, puddin' cup, amirite?
Also about emotions and prejudice+459Our whole world consists of masks. Masks that help us hide our emotions, the mask of prejudice and racism that we hide behind when we don't understand someone, and the mask technology provides when we talk to others through them, so how about we take them off and see how the world could actually be, amirite?
Also about popularity+100Popularity is a game you play when you're a kid, Once you have a house, job and a life popularity barely matters, amirite?
Also about Politics+85When bilingualism is instituted in a country, does it always benefit to linguistic minorities for whom it is primary designed. There are many forms of bilingualism. There are for example, statutory bilingualism in Canada or regional bilingualism in Belgium. Which is the best to ensure a good and efficient government? amirite?
Also about democracy+164Even if you live in a democracy, it's ridiculous that things like gay marriage being legal are voted on. Sure people in a democracy vote on things, but this isn't something people should be voting on. It would be ridiculous to justify the right to dye your hair or marry someone of the same sex on popular opinion, it affects no one but the people involved, why should gay marriage be any different? amirite?
