Also about country+89One inconvenience of living in the country is that some people from the city seem to think it's o.k. to just drop off their unwanted pet on a country back road thinking it'll be fine. I now have four cats. Hey city folk, stop doing that! amirite?
Also about Politics+171If Trump is re-elected - it would mean this country is more racist than we know. amirite?
Also about government+286for non-violent crimes, there should be heavier fines and less jail time, because fines = more money for government. More prison = wasting government money. amirite?
Also by yvan125+74I have never grasped the distinction between the spiritual childlike spirit embodied by holy men and women particularly by St Theresa of the Infant Jesus and the natural expressions of childhood in a person. In the junior college I was enrolled, the prefect of discipline rebuked me for my childlike ways and even punished me for my childish behaviour while the Superior in his spiritual readings prompted us to get and cultivate a spirit of infancy or a childlike spirt, I was confused at that time and still is . Could you make clear this distinction for me! amirite?
Also about Politics-92No one believes Joe Biden would live out his first term let alone two terms so his choice for a "woman of color" vice president, if a radical leftist, may tilt the election to Trump if enough voters come to their senses, amirite?
Also about country+248People who like country music hate rap, and people who like rap hate country. People who like anything else hate both country and rap, amirite?
Also about country+80It is nice that another Country (North Macedonia) joined the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) this year. More ally protection against any potential-to-occur war by Russia, like that in Ukraine and (Country of) Georgia, amirite?
Also about country, benefit, and government-87The world would actually benefit from a world-wide dictatorship. Nobody would fight each other because they would be to busy fighting together to over-throw the government. Not one country would think their better than the other because the world would be one big country, amirite?
Also by yvan125-39It is normal for a 19 college student to be still checked by his parents, submitted to childish home rules and threatened to be spanked amirite?
Also about forms, linguistic, efficient, and bilingualism+70A Canadian linguist of Acadian origin,R Landry, has clearly defined two forms of bilingalism, an« additive bilingualism » which is likely to enrich the mother-language elements and on the contrary a « substractive bilingualism which weaken or impoverish the basic elements of the mother- language or the source language. Could linguistic planners use these definitions, although sketchy , in devising accurate and efficient second language learning programs? amirite?
Also about country, government, and primary-44“A primary object should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? And what duty more pressing than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?”

Also by yvan125+64As a former language teacher, I submit that in order to insure a better foreign and second language learning. it is more fruitfull and rewarding to have an intrinsic motivation (love of foreign language, its sounds, its musicality, its rythm or its syntax, i,e, learning the language for its affective and intellectual value) than to have an instrumental motivation (learn a language to get a degree , a promotion or for multiple purposes external to the language itself, as a means for an extenal goal). Do you think that affectivity does play a major role in foreign or second language learning? amirite?
