It’s only fair that when a white person kills a black person, it could be considered a hate crime but when a black person kills an Asian person, it should equally be potentially considered a hate crime. The term “hate crime” is simply a method to apply punishment differently depending on who committed the crime. If we have different criteria for crime unequally applied, then the system breaks down and justice is no longer blind, amirite?
