I moved to upstate NY and now everyone says elementary like elemenTARY. I said elementary (correctly, like element-tree) and one girl had the audacity to tell me I was pronouncing it wrong. Honey it's just you and the rest of upstate New York - nobody else says elemenTARY! Amirite?

I get corrected all the time on words especially Ohio.. as I add an a to the end of it. If I could say it I would.

Yeah lol. But you don't correct other people on how to say it cause you know that you're the one who says it different, which is why you aren't annoying, the people always correcting you are. Lol.

Right. I would never correct anyone. I have a southern accent and I know I add an "a" to so many words. It's part of who I am.
