Big families are only a good thing when you're the oldest person there. Otherwise you have to go to a lot of funerals, amirite?

Family members don't often die in the same order as they were born.

Big families might be a terrible idea, especially if you're the eldest one: too many mouths to feed, people that cause problems, and so on.

Source: I'm very close to two families, one with 6 children and the other with 7. It's mostly problems.

But you have to do a bit of babysitting!
