Some "green" cemeteries only give you your space for a certain amount of time then they reuse the space for someone else. Usually the bodies are just shrouded or are in easily bio-degradable coffins

I always think they should dig up graves that are 100+ years old as nobody will care who they are anymore it's not like anybody visits or knows their great grandparents graves.

Big cities like NY and Chicago that have those old cemeteries in the middle of expensive city land are already dealing with this. Don't remember what they were gonna do but they were considering moving them and might have already began.

In the UK, when someone passes away you pay a lease for the land for 50,100,150 years. Not quite sure what happens after.

I don't need to be buried. When I die, just throw my body in the trash.
