Hell no! Then you forget all your work and forget about it and just don't do it

I'm used to having every class every day, so block scheduling is a little weird for me.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've had the second thing for ten years or so, and finally switching was great, especially when I fucking hate a teacher/class.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Can someone explain to me the difference?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's when you separate your classes into two days, so you have four classes a day, but they last about an hour and a half each.

Normal scheduling is when people have 6 periods for about an hour (unless they're taking 0 or 7th period which is 1 hour more before and/or after). Block scheduling is having 4 periods per day for 90 minutes. So say you have 6 periods. In block scheduling you would rotate everyday to fit 4 classes.

Kay, I've got 4 periods that last 72 minutes, the same everyday...

I guess it's different in each place then! I'm in California, where are you?

Beaver Country.

No. But I like revolving and tumbling schedules. I know they use block schedules at Good Council, though (if you live in the Maryland/DC area) . . .

It's bittersweet, because at my school we switch classes after 2 semesters so like by the time you get used to everyone you have to get a different schedule. It's refreshing to see new faces halfway through the year though.

except when theres a cute guy in that class and you want to see him everyday!

Block scheduling is FANTASTIC. On 'B' days at my school we have a 90 minuted (required!) study hall, so I get an elective credit AND all of my homework done at school. Normal scheduling in middle school was hellish.

block schedule! fuck yeah!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In my school's block schedule, we have the same four classes every day for a whole semester, then switch once the new semester starts. There are some classes that are A and B, though, where it's taken for the whole school year.

I like having every class every day. Each class is shorter so the day seems faster. However block scheduling is nice when you have free periods.

Ah. I love college.

My school schedule: A day: B day: Class 1 Class 7 Class 2 Class 8 Class 3 Class 1 Class 4 Class 2 Class 5 Class 3 Class 6 Class 4 C day: D day Class 5 Class 3 Class 6 Class 4 Class 7 Class 5 Class 8 Class 6 Class 1 Class 7 Class 2 Class 8 It's sorta confusing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I would hate that! Block scheduling is confusing enough as it is! lol

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha yeah! But it's sorta fun... it shakes things up :) lol.

My school works on a 10 day cycle (so it starts over every two weeks). We have seven 45-minute periods every day, except Mondays when we have assembly, then there are only six. There are some days when we have all 7 our subjects, and others where we only have about 4 or five (because we sometimes have double periods)
