As things stand now, the only way to "redeem" the Republican party is to have the real, mentally balanced, serious conservatives leave and form another party. The Republican SYSTEM of governance cannot be redeemed, but Republicans as INDIVIDUALS can. Trump, his beliefs, and frankly mental instability, as well as those who for what ever reason have adopted his outlooks and beliefs have completely ruined what was once "the party of Lincoln". Amirite?
