As things stand right now, the Republican party, as a SYSTEM of governance, cannot be redeemed because of Trump and those like him. There are good, stable, reliable, and trustworthy Republican INDIVIDUALS still in the party. They will have to leave eventually and form a new party. "The party of Lincoln" is not what it used to be because of the stain and stench of "Trumpism". Amirite?

+137We need to teach truth in our schools at all levels. ALL of it. There is a false assumption that has gained ground that "critical race theory" is being taught at the elementary through high school levels. Being married to a recently retired public school teacher, I can say that is NOT true! Having said that, we desperately need to teach the truth about racism in America. Doing that does not lay blame, but, enlightens and prevents possible repetition of horrible prejudices and oppression that has occurred in the past, both long ago and recent. Am I right?

+79Donald Trump wasn't, and still isn't worthy of our time, and especially not our votes. Now, he has wrongly dogged two real American heroes: John McCain and Colin Powell. Once again, this proves that he is not a patriot in any sense of the word. He is not trustworthy and has ruined the country I served and still love. What's more, he is responsible for the deaths of over 700,000 people due to the corona virus, and 5 due to the January 6, 2021 insurrection he instigated. I know that many feel otherwise, but this is how I feel. Amirite?

+24Time for some college football talk. We just saw the first College Football Playoff prediction show on ESPN. I think the CFP committee really screwed up. There is no way that Alabama should be listed at #2. They lost to a Texas A&M team that was, at the time, not ranked at all. That alone should have dropped Alabama to at least #15. Also, just because Michigan State has a come back victory against in-state rival Michigan, they are now #3? I don't think so. Finally, listing Oregon at #4 was the "last straw". Like Alabama, Oregon lost to a team (Stanford) who was unrated at the time. Amirite? More
