I would have said it's that smart people are aware of how little they know, and stupid people think they know it all.
I feel like that's roughly equivalent
Huh, I misunderstood you at first. I read it as "...you can be finished (as a person) with an education," not having completed an education. One example of why I try not to call myself smart. :P
I believe what your describing is the Dunning-Kruger effect.
Half the population on Earth is below average.
E.g There are ten people in total. One has an IQ of 10, nine has an IQ of 1. The average is 1.9, but 90% is below average.
Half the population is below the median.
Believing the government has your best interest at heart versus having the right to make your own decisions about your own life.
Believing that every govt in the world actually collectively decided to do this to humanity and convinced every healthcare professional to follow suit in a world where nobody agrees on anything (even within your own country) vs. doing what's best for everyone and not politicizing a virus.
You have the right to do whatever you want, but if you make stupid choices you have to deal with the consequences. The issue is that youre involving other people too. Dont want to get vaccinated? Fine. Risk getting the virus and getting other people sick. That's your choice, but whatever happens is on you 👍 not like saying that matters, I assume you'll just find a way to blame the government for that too and make your own actions and decisions everyone else's fault somehow
What!?! This has become a pandemic of the unvaccinated, they are overwhelming healthcare facilities, resulting in loss of care for other serious conditions and even causing the virus to mutate and become more super scary. When someone's ignorance results in innocent lives lost, there is no choice. Everyone must be vaccinated.
I think that's what we're supposed to say
You're absolutely right. You'd think that saying exactly what you just said would be enough to talk some sense into these people, but I've been proven wrong many times. Just when I think that people cannot possibly be this selfish, someone comes along and proves me wrong. Screw ethics right? Let's just do whatever we want regardless of what it does to others because being inconvenienced in any way is unacceptable, who cares who suffers. If I dont see it happening myself it doesnt affect me. Out of sight, out of mind
I wonder if all these people would be so strong in their belief that the vaccine is wonderful and have no problem with it being mandated would think the same thing if Trump was in the WH? I doubt they would be trusting the government so much.
Exactly! We have years of data now and the science is settled. Hey, don't ask me why so many healthcare workers are refusing it.... bunch of dummies
