Would've made things easier if it was Halloween.

I'm just picturing Hans Gruber and his gang infiltrating the building all in Halloween masks.

Yeah then Bruce Willis could steal one of the thugs' masks and pretend to be a bad guy.

It's a Bruce Willis movie!

I think July 4th would have worked just fine.

What about Lethal Weapons doe

Wrong. It has a generic plot that only requires there to be a party. It could be the CEOs birthday or some company anniversary and work exactly the same.

Die hard is an action movie set on Christmas. The minimum Christmas that a movie set on Christmas needs to be a Christmas movie is done in home alone.

@Lecturesea7537 The plots of Die Hard and Home Alone are near identical.

Die hard is some office dude fighting against terrorists and it happens to be christmas.

Home alone is a kid fighting off burglars, who abuse the fact that most families go on a Christmas vacation somewhere all the while decorating the home and going to church to listen to the choir once.

it would make a better film if it was a Cinco de Mayo party

"now I have a machine gun, jajajajaja"

Totally should have been a hanukkah film!
