There aren't any boxes full of nothingness because nothingness doesn't exist.

@Iapetus-11 So what exists in a cubic metre of space?

Dark matter (~20%), dark energy (~75%), hydrogen, helium, neutrinos, cosmic radiation, dust, etc. (~5%).

But everything is there.
