Tesla already tried that

You still have to plug in your "wireless" charger to the wall

No

there will be less, but i doubt they will go away. its basically impossible to just wireless transport energy.

Using a piece of copper to connect two electrical devices is pretty low-tech compared to wireless technology.
I think a lot of things that were previously impossible or difficult with wires will be done wirelessly, but things like microwaves, keyboards, etc. won't be adopted widely because the wire doesn't impact their operation in any way.

@vcsandfeces It does for keyboards though

Wireless keyboards exist and I'm sure wireless microwaves exist, but if you've got a PC then it's usually a lot easier to buy a wired keyboard. It's an example of ‘overengineering' I believe.

There's quite a big market for wireless keyboard. I use one often, and they're pretty useful. Typing from the bed, less desk clutter, switching between devices. I don't think it's overengineering - but I suppose it's a matter of preference. 🙏
