Id say we existed that stage a long time ago. We're now in the perpetual state of finding faster and smaller ways of information transferring. Just like we learned about the stone age, ancient Greece and the birth of democracy, the dark age, the renaissance, and the industrial revolution. Hundred's of years from now this era will be in textbooks as the "digital age". (Or something similar). When humanity became digital. We're living in a truly profound time. The last 30 years and leading into the next few decades. Soon, the 80s and the 70s will feel as foreign and archaic a time as the 18th century feels to us now.
