During world war I and II women suddenly were in more industrial and manufacturing jobs.
Women can probably build infrastructure better than men due to higher endurance and being more careful, thus avoiding unnecessary risk. So why don't women build more of the infrastructure?
This has to do with social conditioning from an early age. Young girls are shown pink and purple unicorns eating ice cream where boys are shown men using power tools on television and other media.
