Oh yeah! Nothing says class more than balloon letters
You're damn right it's not "classy."
That's the best thing about it in my book.
If my neighborhood gets too "classy" everyone in my income bracket will be priced out by rent gouging, and important services like halfway houses will get swarmed by nimbies.
Taggers get my respect for protecting our neighborhood from "class."
What?
I'm saying that taggers making an area look less "classy" can help slow down gentrification by scaring away upper class people.
Oh
Yeah, I've always appreciated a good tag.
They breath life into a city and declare that public space belongs to those of us who live here not business "owners."
Good for keeping the rent down too lol
Depends on the mural and the graffiti.
damn every 9 year old girl is a artist if doing bubble letters is art
anyone can be an artist
yea no. artist is meaningless then
A crudely sprayed swastika is not art
Professional murals actually enriches the city/neighborhood.
Random crap-tier graffiti are no better than dogs marking the territory with pee.
And they got permission
Idk I think your area might be an exception. In mine the murals are not related to business and marketing and more about "love everyone" "world peace" or just some abstract art piece
I love graffiti too, but it tends to be just a dude signing their tag, I am not sure how valuable it really is
It totally depends on the area I agree. I think some cities have more established communities of street artists that care passionately about their art; while artists in other places are more like teenagers from the local high school lol. We should foster spaces for street artists to make their art
I hate grey walls.
You know what isn't art? Vandalism. I hate seeing tags on the side of our building and we have to paint over it the next morning.
Murals have permission.
