Some progressives now are openly promoting wokeness as if they hold the moral high ground. The correct reaction or response to this ignorant behavior is to simply laugh in their faces, amirite?

Hmmmm, I think woke is good, but some people take it way too far. I think it is possible to be overly woke. That two movements can collide and having a massive dog pile of angry comments on the Internet does not help.

Good parts about woke:
Brings attention to historic trauma, white privilege, gender pay gap, and many more.

Arguments against woke:
People are afraid to talk. If we cannot have conversations about our problems for fear of being labeled as xenophobic, anti-immigrant, Islamphobic, racist, etc. Then resolving and coming to a mutually agreeable solution becomes that much more difficult.

Some examples, is Mormon a minority religion or not? I am not sure, but due to wokeness I am afraid to ask.

What about Islam? Many atheists believe that religion increases tribalism and all religion should be open season. Some woke liberals take the point of view that this is Islamphobic and racist.

That the atheists are being intolerant bigots of a minoritized and racialized group and therefore must be intolerant of the atheist's intolerance. Focusing on hate crimes in 1st world countries against Muslims.

I for one am upset about work vistas going to foreigners when we have qualified unemployed people in those fields actively looking for work. If someone has a 4 year degree in a field, wants a job, can't find, and then a foreigner gets a work vista and take their job, this a problem.

Yet, I am afraid to bring this issue up because woke liberals will be like that's xenophobic and racist. I was talking to someone the other day, that if you have a prestigious expensive college degree you get jobs but huge student loans you may never pay off even with a job in the field. If you get a low prestige college degree, employers won't hire you and you are stuck as a janitor never paying off your student debt.

This is why I say college is a rip off. Yet, again woke liberals don't want to hear that and angrily dog pile. Why, because college teaches diversity. Is it really worth it to get $50k+ worth of college debt just to learn a few courses on wokeness? No way!

I'm staying neutral on this one for now, feel free to persuade me.
