I was raised in a very strict and religious family inthe 50's and 60'S. Both my parents were advocating the use of corporal punishments at the key of a good education. I was also enrolled in a private college run by religious fathers who occasionally resorted to corporal punishment to maintain some discipline I was often on the receiving line of these punishments at home and in college . I had to put on short trousers up to 18 years old. Today, in my old age , parents and school are accused of being and too lenient to children. Are the chidren better raised today than yesterday? amirite
