+36 The creator of "Cuties" should be charged with distributing CP, amirite?

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

You're a couple years behind on your outrage

by Emergency_Rent 7 months ago

I just think it's something we shouldn't forget about in a week nobody talks about it anymore and nobody did anything about ot

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

So...a forgotten movie you want to talk about and make more people aware of its existence to drive more people to watch it out of curiosity and alert those who would enjoy it for all the gross reasons of existence, instead of being glad it's over now? By your logic I think we should also charge you with promoting CP.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Hmm I should see this /s

by ProperMarch 7 months ago

Believe it or not, jail.

by Dry-Arugula-8051 7 months ago

Just because the movie is forgotten doesn't mean this isn't a good point.

by kaitlynharvey 7 months ago

It's a valid point about the movie. Don't recall saying otherwise. But stirring up the controversy again isn't going to yield anything more than it did the first time around, except cause more people to see it. I think the better conversation is the overall sexualization of children/teens in the entertainment industry at all. Which we just got a whole documentary series about happening on Nickelodeon and Disney sets. People interested in CP don't need overt salaciousness to enjoy it šŸ¤¢ (that even felt icky to write, ugh). Some probably even prefer the "innocence" more unfortunately.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Because it's not CP and everyone moved on.

by heaven07 7 months ago

Nah those kick ass those need to be normalized more

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

Movie is 4 years old.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

And so are the girls the director is attracted to.

by maverick98 7 months ago

ok

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Everyone forgot about it and nothing ever happened, the conversation should be reopened

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

If its truly CP like you say, nobody would have forgot about it.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Roman Polanski and Woody Allen still get smoke blown up their asses from time to time The entertainment industry doesn't mind a few pedos here and there

by Anonymous 7 months ago

alright

by Anonymous 7 months ago

That's like saying it's only illegal to murder if it ends up on a documentary series

by kaitlynharvey 7 months ago

bro what

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Nobody talks about Epstein anymore that doesnt mean he did nothing wrong

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

I literally cannot go on the internet without seeing his name at least once.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

We clearly do different things on the internet, this is literally the first time I've heard about Epstein

by kaitlynharvey 7 months ago

I just don't believe that, sorry.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

How is this the first time, there is currently a huge push to information to people of epsien and trump connections ( 104 or something) .

by zachariah92 7 months ago

He dead chile

by Anonymous 7 months ago

I mean the man himself is dead, it's not like talking about him is going to get any meaningful results.

by okeyarmstrong 7 months ago

Exactly. People can be upset, but what do they want out of it? Put a corpse in a jail cell?

by StatementJazzlike374 7 months ago

You're allowed to think that

by Anonymous 7 months ago

WTF is Cuties?

by Anonymous 7 months ago

A French film about eleven year olds twerking that includes way, WAAAY too many close-ups of certain body parts and is basically a "jiggle film" like the kind that they use to show on the USA Network at 12am, but this one stars literal kids.

by maverick98 7 months ago

Cool I'm glad I've never seen that.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

always the freaking French

by Anonymous 7 months ago

......this is a real thing? It sounds too insane to be real. That would never get produced in the US. I can't imagine anyone wanting to finance., participate in making, or distribute a movie like that.

by Clean-Tank-2878 7 months ago

Explorer is that you?

by Kiera70 7 months ago

This was a VERY popular opinion at the time the movie was released.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Hey OP have you seen the movie or just people discussing it?

by simeonhodkiewic 7 months ago

I made it till when they zoomed in on an 11 year olds ass while she twerked then I turned it off because that was enough

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

Why'd you start watching it in the first place?

by Worth-Resort 7 months ago

So you're saying I should trash Tolkien's plotting, characterization, and writing style because it's horrible. It's an analogy.

by simeonhodkiewic 7 months ago

The point behind this is the creator did not have to visually use those situations to get their point across.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

I agree. But I also have only seen the worst clips, without the context of the movie. I don't have a strong opinion on their relevance as a result.

by simeonhodkiewic 7 months ago

No im saying if Tolkien produced CP then we shouldn't all come against him with full force. Writing a bad book isn't the same as making an immoral show

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

If Stephen king casted 12 year olds and filmed them in an orgy then you don't need context it's disgusting

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

They didn't include that scene in the movie and I agree with that. But I still think it's disgusting that he wrote it down, and depicted it positively.

by simeonhodkiewic 7 months ago

EXACTLY ITS GROSS. And if they did put it in the movie then I'd say the same thing about him. This shouldn't be happening ever and the fact we let it keep going needs to change

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

imagine relativizing cp

by Available_Study_1379 7 months ago

???????

by simeonhodkiewic 7 months ago

Dark ass humor right here

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Have you seen it?? So much provocative dancing of children up close. It's genuinely repulsive and unwatchable.

by Smooth-Noise 7 months ago

From what i understand thats kinda the point?

by xkoepp 7 months ago

Nobody in their right mind thinks this is unpopular. But yes, it should be banned.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

It's certainly disturbing, i've never watched it (why would i), but from what i've read, it also seems to have a slightly islamophobic undertone, it plays on the stereotype that all muslim families are control-freaks that will disown their child for breathing in the wrong direction.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Yeah, that show was why I canceled Netflix.

by brigitte88 7 months ago

So i havenā€˜t seen the movie, but from what i understand its meant to criticize the hyper sexualization of kids and they had psychologists on the team who would take care of the actresses?

by xkoepp 7 months ago

I haven't seen the movie but it sounds like that's kind of the point? Those images should be uncomfortable - and don't you think the movie is saying that these girls shouldn't be doing those things but society cheers them on when they do? Movies can show uncomfortable things and you're supposed to say wow that makes me uncomfortable.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

It's a movie that villifies young girls growing up too fast in a world that is way too sexualized and imitating what they see. It's based on the director's personal experience. Nothing in that movie is saying the behavior is a good thing, and that's the entire point of the movie, to talk about how bad it is. People talk about this moving as if it's encouraging young girls to do this, when the entiiiiiire point is that it's bad for their childhood if they do

by Vschuppe 7 months ago

Brother you are not internet explorer. You got negative updoots from this, hope you're happy.

by jankunding 7 months ago

It sounds like you watched it.

by kassulketoy 7 months ago

Made it to the first zoom in twerk scene and realized it was worse than people made it seem

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

Why did you start watching it in the first place?

by Worth-Resort 7 months ago

I heard an old podcast talk about it and wanted to see why everyone was so mad, I found it quick and didn't need to see more

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

Mmmmhmmm...

by Worth-Resort 7 months ago

Ok if you think I turned it on for a sexual reason you must agree it's CP right? That would make it erotic material involving children and should be banned right?

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

You're right saying a bad thing is bad clearly means I support it, hooray murderšŸ„³

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

"Rob Zombie should be charged with making a snuff film! Murder is bad! Don't watch House of 1000 Corpses because it's a snuff film!"

by Worth-Resort 7 months ago

don't spin it like that u weirdo

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Dude did go looking...

by Worth-Resort 7 months ago

.. he did, mmmmhmmm...

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Yep

by Worth-Resort 7 months ago

agreed. but its made by a french black woman so opposing it in any way would likely be labeled as "racist, sexist, anti-feminine"

by Anonymous 7 months ago

You obviously have no idea what porn actually is. What happened to, don't like, don't read? Or watch as the case may be?

by Anonymous 7 months ago

"Child pornography is erotic material that depicts persons under the designated age of majority". Aka children twerking and having their pants pulled down so their ass is out

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

They had the cheeks out?

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Back when the controvery exploded I did not understand what the outrage was about. I remembered my own childhood and it seemed like something that needed to be talked about. Today I understand that I can look at those children as simply children and get the message of the movie. But for most men it's just unintentional child porn and they will use it as such.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

But for most men it's just unintentional child porn and they will use it as such. Wow, that's a broad generalization.

by Anonymous 7 months ago

Yes talked about, but being acted out by actual 11 year olds is disturbing asf and the movie didn't demonize child sexuality rather it encouraged it and normalized it. That shouldn't happen

by Possible-Box-798 7 months ago

It doesn't normalize it. It may not completely demonize it , but it doesn't show that in a positive light. The point of the movie is that the culture is overwhelming girls and pushing them in to uncomfortable places.

by Otherwise_Thing_8937 7 months ago

I think you can teach people that culture is trying to push young girls into uncomfortable places without pushing young girls into an uncomfortable place (twerking is front of a camera for thousands of people to see).
