+32 Music is better nowadays, amirite?

I think most people just like whatever they listened to in high school

It's pretty disappointing honestly, people will hear music they've never heard before and expect to like it immediately most of my favourite artists I wrote off at first

Studies have shown this over and over, we strongly identify with music that was popular during our youth.

Did you mean 'access to music is better nowadays'? Because that's what you talked about

For real. Access is most definitely better, but I continually find myself accessing old classics with a rare exception here and there.

Mainstream music is becoming less and less relevant The radio got replaced by streaming algorithms as the driver of mainstream music. Honestly, it may be worse this way than it was before

Yup, I Feel like if you go by numbers music turns out worse and worse. Atleast when record companies decide who's big or not they tried to use the best. Alot of people simply have no interest in music taste though and really whatever is big at the time is what they listen to

Bands last longer nowadays?? Dude, bands like The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney STILL tour. They don't last any longer nowadays than they used to.

True that.

I also agree with this thinking the quality of production is better as well

I don't know about the quality of music, but the access to it definitely has improved
