Here are some of the nicknames and descriptions of waffle house that I've seen and agree with... awful house a place where your food comes with a side of cigarette ash a place that you'd get if you place a kitchen inside a public bathroom That said, the hash browns and eggs at Waffle House hit very different and in a good way

This is not even close to true. Every chain is similar but I've been to chains that are very different in how they're managed, how the service and food quality is, how clean they are, and a variety of other variables. Every chain being the same is a statistical impossibility.

Yeah, there are definitely chains with different levels of quality control--especially franchises. There's way more variation in quality among Burger Kings than In-N-Outs, for example. That said, Waffle House does seem to be pretty consistent, but in that case that may not be a good thing.

Sure but it is also quickly becoming overrated at this pace. Been to many and I understand the whole "if the cook is smoking a cigarette you know the food gon' be good" appeal but it's starting to get to people's head. Like with everything else
