+21 I don't care about your financial situation, families shouldn't live in apartment complexes, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Apartment complexes are meant to be shared, if you want your own porch and a quiet place to live then you have to get your own house.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Why do I have to get a house over the family of five? I don't mind sharing if it's sharing with people like me. Quiet and considerate of others.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Not absolute, just not right outside my damn door

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Because you mind sharing, they don't. If they were doing the noise in the middle of the night I would understand, but otherwise it's just the normal life in an apartment complex.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

This apartment complex was fairly calm and quiet until she moved in, and until it started snowing.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Why does a family of five have to get a house over a singular person?

by ResultHot 1 month ago

More room for their kids and not literally being in the way of other people. Thank god I work early and long hours. I don't have to leave around the time her kids go to school and get off work long after school lets out

by Anonymous 1 month ago

How are they "in your way"? By the mere act of them existing?

by Anonymous 1 month ago

By her parking her lawn chair only two steps from my door and in front of the stairs down to the ground floor

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Ah, I see. Does that complex allow that? Seems like a fire (escape) hazzard.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

She'll probably move it when her kids decide to go inside

by Anonymous 1 month ago

I don't care about your financial situation or size of your household, but people who need a lot of quiet should not live in apartments. Time to save up that down-payment.

by Both-Lynx 1 month ago

I have social anxiety but this isn't part of that.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Lol, how is this not part of that? You're asking for silence while living in an apartment.

by LunchScary 1 month ago

Doesn't have to be total silence. Just go down and talk to your kids playing in the snow instead of yelling from the balcony outside my damn door.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Dude, you're not entitled to dictate what the other people in the complex do in the shared spaces of the complex. It's the middle of the day. Grow up.

by LunchScary 1 month ago

My mother never would have done such a thing because my mother is considerate of other people. The mother of these children is not. Because I lived in a complex for awhile as kid. My family was poor too. We just weren't loud.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

I'm sure you all were just as loud and messy.

by Still_Caterpillar_41 1 month ago

My mom would threaten to beat my ass for being too loud so idk about that And we weren't messy. My mother was a neat freak with OCD.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Sounds like your mom wasn't that good of a mom.

by Still_Caterpillar_41 1 month ago

Taught me manners at least.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Go find something to add to your life instead of letting a bunch of people who are just living theirs take away from it

by Anonymous 1 month ago

More like you should get our own house if you want total isolation. Or use noise cancelling headphones. Families bring life and vitality to apartment complexes.

I'm pretty sure if they can support 3 kids they can afford a house more than a single guy with a single job

by Anonymous 1 month ago

if they can support 3 kids they can afford a house They make 3 bedroom apartments for a reason. Their budget allows for an apartment. Pretty sure they'd likely opt for a house if that was in their budget. As well, perhaps they live there for the better school district versus what they'd wind up with they lived in a house that was in their budget. Here too, they build apartments in good school districts for a reason. I can sympathize with the noise, I really can. But you almost certainly have much more flexibility in choosing where to live than they do.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

This guy is living in his own world

by Double_Basket 1 month ago

He went on to better explain some of his greivences. Some are legit, assuming they're true. Like the mother sitting in a chair right outside his door, screaming down the stairs at her kids while they play outside. Sounds like he's letting his emotions get rhe better of him and not really properly explaining his situation. Still, he should just move.

I'd love to not be single, but as much as I've tried, it has not worked. I've set a limit on myself that I'm going to commit suicide if I'm still single by the age of 30. I have 3 years, 10 months, and 1 day to get a girlfriend. Cause I'm not going into my 30s while never having a partner. It's just not gonna happen.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Don't do that

by Both-Lynx 1 month ago

Eh. Probably gonna. Made a pact to myself like 2 months ago when it was my 26th birthday. Cause my younger brother is gonna propose to his girlfriend this summer. He's 3 years younger than me. Really made me put my life in perspective. But this isn't an incel "I hate women and societal standards for men blah blah blah" thing. It's a "I hate myself for having mental health issues and not making connections with potential partners and putting myself out there, even though there's nothing in my area and nowhere to go" It'll save myself from further embarrassment to call it quits at 30 being forever single, rather than live as a 30+ year old virgin who has always been single.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Leave your area.

by Still_Caterpillar_41 1 month ago

Need money. Need somewhere to go. Need job in that somewhere.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Oh yeah because kids bring in so much money!

by Double_Basket 1 month ago

Something that family would agree with you on. Families should live in houses. But the country doesn't allow that due to the pricing. Too bad so sad.

by Effective_Leek 1 month ago

Better yet, have family apartment complexes and have singles complexes.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Living in affordable apartments is miserable in the US. If we had a quiet and respectful culture like Japan, it would be fine. If noise is your biggest complaint then you are in for some surprises

by Stunning_Try 1 month ago

You can pay for them to live in a house then or stfu

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Believe me I'm saving up to just live in a cabin out in nature. I'm gonna be single my whole life anyway, may as well cut myself off from society. I should move somewhere more remote with less people. I'd rather deal with wildlife than families with young children.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

You need therapy. That should be your takeaway from all of this.

by Still_Caterpillar_41 1 month ago

There are no therapists in my area covered by my insurance. Just "mental health counselors". And I've tried online therapy, and it's not for me. That bitch needs to give her man condoms next time is my takeaway

by Anonymous 1 month ago

It's your hangup so why don't you get your own house? Or at the very least, move somewhere where they separate people with kids. I lived in a few such complexes in my earlier years -- maybe they don't exist anymore?

by Anonymous 1 month ago

"I don't care what your financial situation is, people who can't handle noise shouldn't live in apartment complexes" I'm one of them. I got out of such a situation as fast as I could

by Traditional_Sun_6855 1 month ago

Yelling down from the balcony is 100% a reason to rage.

by Old_Negotiation2710 1 month ago

I could actually call the cops on them, so yeah it would be more convenient.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Call the cops on a homeless family trying to survive, who are only homeless because you feel that them being on the street is a better option for your personal convenience than living in an apartment building they can afford?

by borergordon 1 month ago

Survive somewhere not right outside my door

by Anonymous 1 month ago

You realize that's what they're doing when they get an apartment because they cannot afford a house, rightm..? It's wild to me you'd rather a family, including innocent kids, be homeless than live in the only establishment they can afford because it slightly inconveniences you...

by borergordon 1 month ago

This bitch working real hard yelling at her kids from the balcony outside my door on early Friday afternoon, with her apartment almost always smelling like bad weed. Real hard working American there and not a bum

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Would you say that you're a hardworking American?

by Still_Caterpillar_41 1 month ago

A guy who minds his own business and doesn't disturb others, while also not infecting the surrounding area with noise or smells? Yeah, sure.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

You don't HAVE to mind your own business or refrain from disturbing others. Why not try acting like everyone else?

by Stunning_Try 1 month ago

Because it's the right thing to do and I'm not a bad person. What is a single guy gonna do in an apartment to make noise anyway? I could buy that record player I want but I have headphones and Spotify for a reason.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

How do you know it's the right thing to do? It sounds up like you grew up in a nice environment and are now struggling with living amongst poor people

by Stunning_Try 1 month ago

We were broke but my parents managed to make their way into the middle class. I don't think being poor should be an excuse to be loud.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

How is that working out for you?

by Still_Caterpillar_41 1 month ago

Considering suicide, but that's not related to the loud family next door

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Maybe you should not throw rocks then.

by Still_Caterpillar_41 1 month ago

It's unrelated so I don't see how it's throwing rocks
