Several cats got it (in Oregon?), 67% died. It turned out they got it from raw turkey found in canned cat food.

Feral cats are a serious ecological issue in most countries and efforts should be made to eradicate the. However I don't know if they are actual vectors for bird flu

They are known carriers of bird flu and commonly will bring corpses of their kills to the owner. Currently there aren't cases of transmission from cat to humans but we all know how viruses mutate

lol, it wouldn't have ever been dealt with. Cats are an invasive species like many others, and once somewhere they are difficult to remove. Just ask Florida how the Iguanas or pythons are doing. Also, bird flu needs to be dealt with, but feral cats aren't even on the todo list.

They aren't on the to do list for you. The way to deal with them like any other invasive species is management. We don't have good management policies in place because people act emotionally. If you started handing out $1,500 fines for outdoor cats first offense you could have that issue curtailed greatly

The coyote numbers in my area have risen and knocked the numbers down significantly thankfully

Are you allowed to hunt coyote?
by Anonymous5 days ago
I should clarify, that applies to where I am
by TimeTop5 days ago
Yes, they are considered a nuisance animal so it's open season all year with no bag limit
