Why pick ashes of creation of all things to be upset about and not stsr citizen? The game is in alpha and if people want to spend thier money to provide feedback to a game they want to fund let them. With the state of games in the last year you could argue nearly every game is like this for the first few months.

I don't know much about AoC, but Star Citizen has to be the worst offender. Over a decade of lies and broken promises. If Ashes is just doing a standard EA release with a higher price tag then yeah, I don't really see the problem.
