The baggy pant trend is ugly, amirite?

To be fair, I also grew up in the 90s and a lot of people from our age group wore low rise skinny jeans in the early 2000s which look terrible on pretty much everybody. Appropriately fitted clothing—not overly baggy or overly skinny—is where it's at.

As youth obesity goes up… so does baggy clothing. (And high waisted pants…) Clothing companies have less incentive to bring back Jeggings if only like 10% of people feel and "look good" wearing them. Big baggy clothing sells. I still remember SNL making fun of Mom Jeans 20 years ago… and it's all back again.

if we're being real, the current style of baggy jeans are definitely made for those closer to the "heroin chic" end of the spectrum... low rise is in and it's not forgiving. lots of things are related to obesity, i don't think this fashion trend is one of them.

Hip hop and skate culture in the 80s-90s. But its current reemergence doesn't have those ties. Seems more in line with the body positivity trend.
