+281 During Obama's campaign, Republicans complained about Obama being a celebrity... Yet also have Arnold Schwarzenegger for Governor of California. amirite?

Yes, you're right Schwarzenegger is a celebrity. But the difference is that when he ran, he ran as a politician. During Obama's campaign, he ran more as a celebrity.

Really? He 'ran as a celebrity' because the media portrayed him as one. Not his fault.

What about Sarah Palin? She's only a celebrity now.

Look, people. Stop labeling someone as a conservative or republican just because they ran as such. Schwarzenneger runs CA very liberally.

(Samantha+Jane): Last I checked, Schwarzenegger is a) no longer the governor of California, and b) still a conservative.

Is it weird I thought you were talking about Arnold from Hey Arnold! before I saw Schwarzenneger, and was really confused?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wait. Time out. Since when do we take California politics seriously?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He's not even the governor anymore... and he did a shit job when he was.

Let's not forget Donald Trump's presidential campaign.

I'm a Democrat, but this is stupid. How is one responsible for the governor of a completely different state? You have nothing to do with them.

Ronald Reagan was the same way, he was an actor
