Not all the time. Sometimes one person falls out of love with the other even though their partner is still in love, breaking up is far less painful for the one who feels less.

I totally agree. I'd actually rather be the one that gets dumped because then I'd be in control. If the guy is a really nice guy, then I'd try not to be too upset because then he'd feel bad, but if I wanted to make him feel bad, I'd just take it really hard. Then if he is a jerk, I could not get upset about it so he wouldn't get the satisfaction of me being upset.
