+707 When you think about, there was always that one black kid in a show to not make it seem racist. There was Susie in Rugrats, Aj in the Fairly Odd Parents, Cookie in Ned's Declassified, Mr. Mosby in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and the principal in icarly, amirite?

You're right, but you lost me after Susie in the Rugrats. I understand what you are saying though. Like on South Park theres Tolken Black, and thats his name. Or not another teen movie where some random black dude is at the keg and the black guy thats actually in the movie asks him what hes doing, then asserts that he's supposed to be the token black guy.

In That's So Raven there was the token white girl

Also note that they're characters with a respectable profession, or the 'nice characters'. Like Mr. Moseby, and The Principle in iCarly. Those are pretty good jobs. Aj is the smart one, and Suzie is the nice counterpart to Angelica.

And Gerald in Hey Arnold. But there's also black shows out there with mostly no white people. Girlfriends The Parkers One on One (The old version) My Wife and Kids ... At least Disney tries to make it diverse.

Andre in Victorious is one.

All these examples make me happy to be a 90's kid :)

It's not like they said (at least for the shows that aren't animated) "We only want black people for this role." A black person auditioned and they were a good actor, so they were put in the show.
