-14My dad does pretty well. He works over 14 hours a day, I don't really see him unless I'm up really late, or on the weekends. He got a really good job by working extremely hard in high school and in multiple levels of college, earning degrees, including masters. He makes more money then some people. Why should he have to pay more in taxes to cover someone else's health insurance, for someone who may have partied in high school and college, for someone who may not have worked as hard, for someone who may just not have tried. Yes, people should have health insurance, but just because someone makes more money doesn't mean they should pay more in taxes. (I know there are people who work hard who don't make a lot of money) My dad works hard for his money, the same way many others do. More
How does it work in America? When you go to the Doctor or the hospital? In Australia if you go to the GP it's covered by Medicare EVERYONE. If you go to Emergency you are covered by Medicare EVERYONE. I'm watching an American TV show the woman fainted was rushed to hospital was ok then she left, that cost $500 because they had no insurance.....that's insane ...
The GOP debate lacking one thing..FACTS!The candidates didn't do their homework before making claims that ranged from the economy, to welders,(LOL),to "China taking advantage of the US", the Russians in Syria, and one candidate claiming "the Chinese are there" as well, referring to Syria!Did any one candidate REALLY impress you? -4I would pay an extra $20/week car insurance for the privilege to run over crazy people who walk and text in the middle of parking lots and then get mad when they are almost hit. I don't believe this should be a jail-able offence, but a public service to others and letters of commendation should be publicly posted. More
