Almost everyone has inner beauty on some level, in the same way someone you love is beautiful to you, so which person actually winds up being as beautiful to you as they are inside mostly depends on who you choose to spend enough time with to discover that beauty. In that regard, there's no right or wrong answer. Whoever you choose to love is an okay person to love, and if you decide to stop loving them, or the other way around, that's rough, but it's still also okay. It's even okay not to choose anyone. The same reasoning applies to friendship.
