Expectations... Reality, amirite?
@EmptyMelodies Well, first off, I didn't like what happened to Katniss as a character. I feel like she slowly deteriorated from an...

I feel like most of the points you made could be explained by Suzanne Collins's want to show what a war does to people, and how when people die in a war, they don't get the respect they deserve. It shows that most people think that as long as we achieve our goal, it doesn't matter who get's hurt along the way. She killed off beloved characters because if she had just harmed people you didn't care about, than you wouldn't have minded their deaths, which goes against the whole point she's trying to make. For Katniss, the war completely destroyed her emotionally, and while I agree that she was annoying at times, her breakdown shows what these traumatizing events do to people.

I think the reason why we weren't given as much detail in the epilogue is because the book is in Katniss's POV, and we only find out information that she knows. She might have never been told what happens to Gale or the rest of Panem.

I hope this makes you see things differently! If not, then you're completely entitled to your own opinion!

My friend Jessie Carter wrote this and is really happy!

Harry Potter is the chosen one and his 3 relationships are with Cho, the indian chick at the dance, and Ginny. He could have any chick in the magical world. Come on bro step up your game. amirite?
@He should have just been killed a baby because his story sucked as well as his choice in girls.

Cho was one of the most sought out girls in the school, Padma was described as one of the hottest girls in their year (the other being her twin) according to Dean Thomas, and Ginny has always been described as an extremely good-looking and fun loving person. His choice in girls definitely didn't suck.

Also, be careful to post hate-comments against Harry Potter... Even if you are completely correct, a great majority of this website are Harry Potter lovers.

How weird would it be to have another way to measure time? For example, something based on tens called chronos, with 100 chronos in a day, each broken into 100 mikros. Imagine the confusion: "What time is it over there?" "Fifty sixty-nine." "...what?" "Oh, sorry, I'm using chronos, not hours. It's 12:10." amirite?

@Courage_Wolf Following along with post, I guess that would be 'erectus protectus' or something :/ I'm glad the author didn't...

Just because they would be lame in the book doesn't mean that they aren't amusing... These spells aren't suggested to be actual ones, only ones made in fun.

@Courage_Wolf Just be glad we haven't had AVPM or AVPS POTD yet :/

Agreed. I don't like AVPM at all... Sort of weird for a Harry Potter fan.

The most controversial spell in the Wizarding World is "Fetus Deletus," amirite?
@Courage_Wolf That was hardly enough to make it an original idea. The central idea of this post is 'Fetus Deletus', without it...

But if I had just wrote, "The spell for abortion is 'Fetus Deletus,'" that wouldn't be very funny.

@1515616

But I made it an original idea by using the spell's name and relating it to society.

@twisted_memories I missed that... I liked this post better when it wasn't about Harry Potter in my mind :(

It's posted in Harry Potter because I thought that the people belonging to that group would enjoy the post.

@1515593

Yes, but...

1. It has never been posted on amirite? before.
2. I did not copy and paste this post from some random site. My friend jokingly told me that "Fetus Deletus" was the spell for abortion, and I thought it was funny, so I originally rewrote it in a post saying how it was controversial.

Why are you people so inclined to criticize a post's originality? Not saying that you haven't, but most of the time, the said criticizers never had heard about the joke until they googled it. Just enjoy the post! Maybe it isn't the most original thing ever, but it is original to amirite? and at least rewritten so that it isn't word-for-word.
