Do you think there is such thing as being too open minded? What are the negative effects of being too open minded and how to they compare to closed mindedness?
-1I unfortunately have to leave this site. You're not going to miss Colebowl, amirite?
+6In The Chamber of Secretes, it's kind of cute/foreshadow-y to their future relationship that when Hermione is cured and walks into the Great Hall, Ron noticed her first but when they were all running toward each other in excitement, her and Harry hug but her and Ron become very shy and awkward, just shaking hands and smiling. +8One of the most annoying types of person is the person who claims to be an open minded intellectual but accuses everyone who doesn't see things from their point of view an idiot. It's even worse when they use their own intellectual prowess as actual justification to talk down to those they deem dumber than them. Amirite?
+30When people act like their favorite characters have no flaws, it ignores the depth of the character that the author put there and makes the characters feel less relateable/more fictitious, amirite? More
+29Instead of having schools that teach Creationism and different schools that teach evolution, schools should teach about evolution but also teach about all the different religions in the world. Maybe the world would be a less ignorant, more unified place when it comes to science vs. religion if kids became open-minded to the ideas from the start instead of just being taught one or the other. Amirite?
+8Girl feminists: it's really mind-boggling when you do something stereo-typically girly and someone says "aren't you a feminist?" Yeah... being a feminist means I think it's better to be masculine. Wut. Amirite? More
+3If immigration is hard for people to do, there will be a lot more undocumented people- which has a lot of negative consequences. But if it's made easier to immigrate, people are going to be more likely to try to immigrate legally, and there would be less problems because of it. The world shouldn't be owned, it should be open for everyone. Amirite?
+6It's OK for the government to tell companies they can't encourage the use of something unhealthy to minors (like telling the tobacco industry they can't advertise to children), it's OK for the government to tell companies they have to be honest about what's in their product, it's OK for them to say that if you using something makes the people around you unhealthy, you can't do that thing where people can't avoid you (like smoking inside or right out...[Show All] front of buildings), but it's not OK for them to punish individuals who chose to do something unhealthy on their own free will.
