Just another 55 year old guy, pecking his way around in a world far bigger and greater than he will ever fully conceive. To say I have never found my niche in life would be an understatement.
My life and ambitions.
I am one of those rare birds who never could decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. Now, I am all grown up, and I have yet to figure it out. I sort of envy people who say they found their perfect career or perfect family. I have not found anything to be perfect.
A brief history of my life.
Native Californian, have lived in numerous states (Colorado, Maine, North Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma) and presently living in a state I won't mention. Married to first wife for 20 years and had 4 children with. Re-married and been with 2nd wife 13 years this August. Taught elementary school children for 7 years. Presently working my way up the ladder in the Wastewater Treatment industry. Essentially, I am learning how to treat the shit of an entire city! Exciting.
The things I could never live without.

Way too many but love the quotes by any and all truly great thinkers. Also enjoy many quotes from the Bible. Here is one of my all time favorites by C.S. Lewis. I have yet to find anyone who can satisfactorily, soundly, or scientifically challenge it.
"If the solar system was brought about by an accidental collision, then the appearance of organic life on this planet was also an accident, and the whole evolution of Man was an accident too. If so, then all our present thoughts are mere accidents - the accidental by-product of the movement of atoms. And this holds for the thoughts of the materialists and astronomers as well as for anyone else's. But if their thoughts - i.e., Materialism and Astronomy - are mere accidental by-products, why should we believe them to be true? I see no reason for believing that one accident should be able to give me a correct account of all the other accidents. It's like expecting the accidental shape taken by the splash when you upset a milk-jug should give you a correct account of how the jug was made and why it was upset."
DISCLAIMER: To my knowledge, ALL my quotes and posts are original thoughts of my own. I keep a running self quote book and another book I call Introspections. Some of what I have posted has been with me for years. I love looking at the world and people in many ways and from many angles.
I enjoy interacting with current news and social hypocrisies and fallacies. I also enjoy pointing out the flaws in our government - since they are the biggest hypocrites of them all.
You should send me a message if you..
Feel like interacting and care to engage in healthy discussion. I enjoy controversy and playing with words. I am not on here to win a popularity contest or have my opinions, views, or beliefs validated. I have nothing to win or lose by what you say to me or vice versa. I will tell you what I think and why. If you don't like that, oh well.
