It's incredibly pretentious that the US has nick-named their own president "The leader of the free world", amirite?
@Pedo_Cat Well, at one point we were the entire free world were we not?

I'm sorry, how does North American independence render the whole world, except them, 'not free' ?

@Pedo_Cat Well, at one point we were the entire free world were we not?

Care to elaborate the point in which you were the entire free world? I just can't seem to recall it.

If you take all factors, including diversity of people, environment, military might and level of technology into concern, America would most probably be the country aliens would want to land in first, amirite?
@Saigot They would probably go to a country with a higher population density.

I'm not taking sides, but you have not quoted any sources on your statements about the Chinese army being inferior. And sorry but most of the times, numbers do win wars.

Also saying that North American will win because of its allies is a weak way to defend how powerful it is alone.

If you said "I wish for world peace", and your friend said "doesn't everyone..." you could say back "No, because then there WOULD be world peace", amirite?

No, because everyone does want world peace. It's just that everyone pictures a different kind of world peace and a different way of getting there.

@iamthewalrus Please explain to me what the logical explanation for the big bang is? Or Stonehenge for that matter?

I never said it didn't. Actually I stated lower in the comments that it does not dismiss any religion.

@Pug The big bang is also a theory. Just saying.. If you believe in that, that also takes faith. Becoming a...

And Pug, these theories do not automatically dismiss religion or God. Look at the catholic Church: they accept the Theory of Evolution just fine.

Scientific theory =/= theory.

These are two separate concepts.
Theory, hypothesis are used in non-technical contexts to mean an untested idea or opinion. A theory in technical use is a more or less verified or established explanation accounting for known facts or phenomena e.g. the theory of relativity.

I'm not being closed minded I just presented facts; if you do not want to accept them then my role here is useless.

Also if I cam out as rude in my last comments, I apologize that was not my intention; I'm just trying to spread knowledge.

I'm not sure if you are making fun or not. Just in case here is what a scientific theory is: A scientific theory is “a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment.”[1][2] Scientists create scientific theories from hypotheses that have been corroborated through the scientific method, then gather evidence to test their accuracy.

To further explain: Do you expect to float away any second now, because the Theory of Gravity is just that - a theory?

@Pug The big bang is also a theory. Just saying.. If you believe in that, that also takes faith. Becoming a...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_bang Honestly if you do not understand how it works and why it has been proven that does not render it false.

And by the way, there is no such thing as 'my own personal proof'. You can have your own beliefs, but not your own facts.

@iamthewalrus Please explain to me what the logical explanation for the big bang is? Or Stonehenge for that matter?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_bang. It is seriously not that hard to google something, especially something as well documented and well known as The Big Bang theory.

Oh and before unnecessary comments are added, theory means it has been proved.

And there are only hypothesises on the the Stonehenge simply because the civilization which built it did not leave any written records, thus we can not make any definite affirmations.
