Whether you believe in God is your own business, but Jesus was real, whether you believe he is the son of God or not XD
Seriously he's a historical figure, it's your own business and I'll pray for you if you think he was some illusionist who tricked people into thinking he was God's son or whatever, but saying he doesn't exist sounds so uneducated.
"Wives submit to your husbands." Yep. We don't have to be against their rights, though, because guess what the Bible also says? "And husbands must love their wives as their own bodies." In other words: The wife must submit to the husband, but the husband must love his wife and not abuse this power. The Bible also says "slaves obey your masters," but then also says "and masters obey your slaves."
Sociatal views changing has nothing to do with this. God's word is God's word - it wasn't written by any random man, this is the word of God and is meant to be treated as such. But one thing that never gets contradicted for deeper meaning is that a man shall not lie with a man as with a woman. Their is no contradiction, no food for more thought, just that. IT also says that God loves everybody, INCLUDING, as he says in Timothy, murderers, [list of bad sins], those who have relations with the same sex...
So no, we aren't supposed to hate them. We love them as God loves them. But we don't believe that it is okay or in any way not a sin, but how can we judge when we too are sinners?
Please don't call it a "single, ancient book" as if it's irrelevant, because that's highly disrespectful. Since you said you want to respect Christians I actually think you'll listen to me (thank you for not being anti-Christian!!!) so I'm just going to say this: Since we as Christians believe God's word is eternal, the Bible will always be relevant to us, and it's kind of offensie to hear the sacred word of God referred to so passively. But I'm glad you are athiest and not anti-theist, there's way too many anti-theists these days.
There's going to be certain things that culture will try to force into us our entire lives, not just in school. But that doesn't mean you don't need an education. I'm actually pretty much with you here - if you believe the teacher is indoctrinating a certain viewpoint that you believe to be wrong then, to quote you, "Give your teachers what they want to hear but challenge every single last one of them." (That's my life as a Christian these days, trying to have my religion and live in peace.)
I think that people should have control over their bodies. I don't think we should be able to force you to take the vaccine, but I think it's important that you don't just deny the vaccine for the sake of making a point about control. Not allowing us to have enough people vaccinated just as a power play testing your rights will never let us move past this pandemic! Just get over yourself and get the vaccine. Fun fact: COVID is much more likely to hurt you than a vaccine is. This is why people need their education, smh.
SOMEONE GETS IT! Oh, for once, someone in this freaking universe understands it! Yes, God hates the sin but loves the sinner. The Bible is true but it doesn't say to hate. F i n a l l y. I have been searching for someone like you for so long I was beginning to think I was aloen in the world.
It's people like you - the one's wrapped up in their own selfishness and pride - who keep us from achieving herd immunity. You know, at some point, we go without masks and have events and you're only allowed in if you have the vaccine. You have a right, sure, but it's a rather selfish idea. Just get the vaccine and think about people besides yourself.
You are automatically assuming I'm constantly on it, but I'm actually not. Actually, very few teenagers are on their phones the amount most adults imagine they are.
Assuming I use it at dinner, are we? 😂 (I don't, by the way.) I'm not talking about when someone is using the phone too much, I'm talking about using it as a general punishment for literally anything.

Yes, it says this, that is true, but not to hate them, just that it's wrong. God loves the sinner but hates the sin.
