You're making some pretty big presumptions there. A lot of high schools can't afford all those extra programs (not to mention that the broader educational climate is changing such that they're kind of frowned upon in many circles).

Socialism is not itself a religion. There are varieties of socialism that may be informed by religious belief (for example, Christian socialism) but socialism is not by definition religious or irreligious.

Bullshit. If somebody turns around on promises they've made or refuses to implement changes they said they would, you bet I'm going to pursue other political avenues. Why should I leave my loyalty with someone who isn't going to remain ideologically consistent?
